Continuing with the second part of Cabo Golf, past, present and future.
Where were we? ah 1994 "International Year of Sport and the Olympic Ideal". Clinton was in power and Tiger Woods was just starting his Career.
In 1994 the spectacular Cabo Real golf course located in the Cabo corridor opened . It was designed by Trent Jones Jr. and is considered by many the first world class golf course built in Los Cabos. It has hosted two grand slam tournaments: The 1996 The senior Grand Slam Tournament and 1999's version of the same tournament.
Speaking of 1999. This is the year El Dorado Golf & Resort Beach Club was inagurated. This is a high end very private course with 18 holes located in the outskirts of San Jose del Cabo. It is a great course, but you have to buy a house here to play.
Whith the arrival of the new millenium also came the birth of the 18 holes private Querencia course, designed by Tom Fazio. This golf course is located in San Jose del Cabo and is also a private course. The year is 2000.
In 2002 like we already mentioned in this article's first part: the Cabo del Sol desert course consisting of 18 holes and designed by Tom Weiskopf was inagurated.
